As opposed to chilling hot brewed coffee with ice, cold brewing coffee is the process of steeping coarse ground coffee directly in cold water over an extended period of time to yield a smooth, heavy-bodied drink with low acidity and a creamy mouthfeel. It is easily the most forgiving of any brew method as the cold temperatures tend to dull any deficiencies in quality or flavor. Cold brew needs minimal equipment, but does require a significant amount of time to get a good extraction.
This particular cold brew recipe uses a French Press to make a concentrate, which can then be diluted to taste, or mixed with cold water at a 1:1 ratio.

18-24 HRS ~ STIR & PRESS
DILUTE 1:1 WITH WATER, ADJUST TO TASTE
.step by step.
Step 1.) Weigh 187 grams of whole bean coffee and grind on the coarsest setting available.
Step 2.) Pour 750 grams of cold or tepid water into the French Press.
Step 3.) Stir the slurry in the French Press until all the grounds are fully saturated.
Step 4.) Set an alarm for 18-24 hours from your brew time.
Step 5.) After steeping is done the next day, stir the slurry once more, then place the lid on top. Press the filter rod all the way down (as far as it will go) and transfer the cold brew concentrate into a receptacle to prevent any further extraction.
Step 6.) Dilute with cold water at a 1:1 ratio, adjust to taste as needed.
Step 7.) Enjoy!
*Be sure to keep any remaining cold brew refrigerated; it has a shelf life of up to 90 days if kept at proper cold holding temperatures.*
